KUALA LUMPUR: The Branding Association of Malaysia recently announced the inaugural ‘Brand Legend Awards’ which recognises businesses that have left an indelible mark on the community. The awards will pay homage to the pioneers, innovators, and pillars of the local economy. “These businesses are more than just enterprises; they are institutions that have shaped industries, fostered job creation, supported local communities, and inspired generations of entrepreneurs,” said Brand Legend Award organising chairman Dr Aesos Lai at the launch of the awards on Wednesday.

“The theme of these awards is “Larger Than Life,” which perfectly encapsulates the enduring legacy of these legendary brands.

“The Brand Legend Awards serve as a platform to showcase the extraordinary achievements of these remarkable businesses.

“Their stories are a testament to the power of vision, perseverance, and the transformative impact of branding.

“With this prestigious recognition, we applaud the Brand Legends for their unwavering dedication, innovative spirit, and unwavering commitment to excellence.

“They have not only endured but have flourished, leaving an enduring legacy that will continue to inspire future generations.

“We are thrilled to shine a spotlight on these exceptional businesses,” he said.

“Their stories of resilience, innovation, and dedication are an inspiration to us all. We hope these awards will serve as a reminder of the vital role that legacy businesses play in our community,” added Lai.

The Brand Legend Awards ceremony will be held on Sept 30 at the Sunway Pyramid Hotel.

Nominations are now open.

The public can nominate businesses they believe deserve recognition for their lasting contributions. The deadline for nominations is Aug 15.
